Donations to the Friends of Surfside Beach Gift Fund can be claimed as
tax deductions on individual tax returns. The Australian Tax Office
(ATO) has endorsed deductible gift status.

Friends of Surfside Beach will raise funds through membership fees,
grants and donations. Nobody associated with Friends of Surfside Beach
is paid any money including committee members, so 100% of all funds
raised will be spent directly on things that benefit the Surfside
environment. These are things that support Friends of Surfside Beach
objectives and purpose. Examples may include community co-contributions
of funding to Council led resilience work; dune planting support,
equipment or works that protect the foreshore, dune and related wildlife
habitat; community education through internet information, physical
signage and so on, sand traps and protective barriers and so on.
